Students with impairments, disabilities and/or illnesses, who require assistance with for example changes to modes of lectures and exams, can find comprehensive information on accessible studying at the University of Vienna here.
Please contact both us – at the International Office - as well as Team Barrierefrei (team for accessible studying) right after your nomination so that we can best offer our assistance.
Furthermore, there is a FAQ section for Incoming students with disabilities that provides an overview of relevant and often posed questions.
Information is also provided by the Referat für Barrierefreiheit of the Austrian Students' Union's representation at the University of Vienna (ÖH).
Access to some parts of the main university building is difficult for people with disabilities. This also applies to the International Office, which can only be accessed via stairs and for which there is no direct access via lift. Disabled access can be organised by arrangement.
