Application and Expenses
Tuition for the following Circle U. Summer Schools is free of charge. Participants are only responsible for covering their travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.

If you are nominated for any of the Summer Schools, the University of Vienna will contact you regarding the administrative steps, provided funding is available.
Circle U. Summer Schools with Erasmus+ BIP Funding
For participation in Circle U. activities that are funded as Erasmus+ BIP, please clarify the eligibility of at least 3 ECTS with your Study Programme Director before applying for a Circle U. BIP.
Selected participants can apply for an Erasmus+ grant and a travel grant from the University of Vienna if successfully accepted into the following Summer Schools. More information about the available funding can be found on our Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) website.
- Empowering Climate Action: Islands on the Frontline
Summer school in Berlin for Bachelor's students. Dates: 21–25 July 2025. Apply by 28 February. - The Crossroads of Democracy and Development: Challenges and Innovations
Summer school in Belgrade for Master's students. Dates: 2–6 June 2025. Apply by 28 February. - Rethinking Global Health
Summer school in Paris for PhD and PostDocs. Dates: 30 June–5 July 2025. Apply by 28 February.
Circle U. Summer Schools with PhD Mobility Funding
The amount of scholarship may differ based on the status of the PhD candidate at the University of Vienna, if they are successfully accepted into the following Summer Schools.
