Communicating Climate Science

Summer School at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Circle U. is inviting you to apply for a free-of-charge summer school on "Communicating Climate Science". Here, you’ll gain insights into topics such as the impact of climate change, climate science and science communication. Through lectures, group work and writing workshops, you’ll reflect on communication challenges and learn how to target different audiences by using a variety of media. Moreover, by moderating panel discussions and participating in excursions in and around Berlin, you’ll get the chance to hone your communication skills, connect with established researchers and build networks with European peers.

  • For Bachelor (second year and up) and Master students
  • Open to all disciplinary fields
  • Online sessions (15 – 17 August)
  • In-person classes (22 – 26 August)
  • Final virtual gathering in September (date tbd)
  • No tuition fees
  • Erasmus+ scholarship ~70€/day of stay (for payment modalities the International Office of the University of Vienna will contact you after the official acceptance by the Summer School)
