Successful Cooperation between the University of Nankai and the University of Vienna

In May 2018 Professor Hofmann, Vice Dean at the Department of Environmental Geosciences, received a "Guest Professorship" at the University of Nankai, China. Nankai University and the University of Vienna are university-wide partners in research, education and student exchange since 2014.

Professor Hofmann’s status as a "Guest Professor" represents a long-term appointment at the Chinese partner university. This highlights 10 years of exchange with Prof. Wei Chen and other colleagues of Environmental Science and Engineering at the University of Nankai.

Furthermore, the Universities of Vienna and Nankai cooperate within the Non-EU Teaching Programme ­- Professor Ju Miao from the University of Nankai just offered a short-term course on “The Cultural Commitment of Translation” at the Faculty of Translation Studies in Vienna.
