univie: summer/winter schools

univie: summer/winter schools are short programmes during the non-lecture period (up to four weeks). We welcome international and local students of different study levels. You can meet and learn from renowned experts and high-level academics and uncover your potential as a young, active researcher. You can gain up to 18 ECTS (depending on the chosen programme). The University of Vienna will issue an official transcript of records for your participation, so that you can have the credits recognized at your home university. As a participant in a univie: summer/winter school you will be admitted as a non-degree student at the University of Vienna. You will therefore be protected by insurance cover of the Austrian Students’ Union ÖH (for all activities undertaken in connection with the programme) and will be granted access to all services provided by the University of Vienna (e.g. library, online learning portal, Wi-Fi).
