Incoming Students

Due to SARS CoV-2, teaching at the University of Vienna in the winter semester of 2020/2021 will take place in hybrid form. This means that courses are held online, on site and in a mixed form, where some students attend the course on site and some join the course online. Outgoing Students Summer Semester 2020

Due to the current developments the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has issued a high security risk for all countries worldwide. It advises Austrian travellers to urgently return home and take advantage of the currently still available return travel options. See:

Erasmus+ Outgoing Students: If you decide to cancel your stay abroad, please let us know and send us the completed withdrawal form. In case of a cancellation, please also inform your host institution and ask them to issue a confirmation of stay for the completed period of your stay. You can find a template here. For further information on changes concerning your Erasmus+ stay (e.g. cancellation, intermission), we refer you to the OeAD here

Non EU Student Mobility: In case of a return , please inform us as well as your host university. Furthermore, please clarify with your host university whether you can complete your courses online. In addition, we need a confirmation of stay from the host university (email is sufficient). With regard to the scholarship, we can guarantee that there will be no disadvantages if you return earlier. Erasmus+ Projects

Due to Europe-wide measures to stem the COVID-19 crisis the deadlines for ongoing Erasmus+ calls have been extended.
The International Office continues to check project proposals formally and to forward them to the rectorate.

In order to be processed the project documents, including information on the budget as well as on the project team’s composition, are required to be in their final stages. The faculty management's declaration of consent can currently be granted by email. Please be aware that the signature process may take longer than usual and that the signature is given without a stamp.
The European Commission allows to temporarily suspend ongoing Erasmus+ partnership projects and to reschedule planned activities to a later date. Please refer to your desk officer for further information.
