Farewell for Non-EU exchange students
In June 2019, the International Office invited current incoming students from outside of Europe and future outgoing students who will study abroad for 1-2 semesters, to a farewell party. Vice Rector for Research and International Affairs, Jean-Robert Tyran, welcomed the exchange students in the small ceremonial chamber of the University of Vienna.
Vice Rector Jean-Robert Tyran warmly welcomed the students. He emphasized on the unique experience a time abroad offers and pointed out it may even be the best adventure of one's live.
Karin Krall, Head of the International Office, hosted the event, which included an interactive game for the students.
Around 80 students participated at the event. The students will leave Vienna soon and go either back to their home country or will soon spend a semester abroad at one of the Non-EU partner universities.
The outgoing students will spend their exchange semester in different countries on all continents.
After the official opening, the students gathered in the university courtyard. Future outgoing students had the chance to get in contact with incomings from their host university.
