Recently back and what now?

Within two months after the end of your study period abroad, the following documents must be handed in at the International Office:

  • Copy of confirmation of stay
  • Copy of your transcript of records obtained abroad
  • Copy of the filled in Learning Agreement ("After the Mobility") including the signed National Sheet.

Students are required to obtain the equivalent of 3 ECTS credits per month. For questions concerning credit transfers, please contact your study programme director (Studienprogrammleitung).

Credit transfer

Similar to what is provided in the Austrian Student Support Act (österreichisches Studienförderungsgesetz), an ERASMUS International grant is subject to a minimum requirement of 3 ECTS credits per month. Compliance with this requirement will be measured by the number of transfer credits approved by the University of Vienna, not by the total number of credits obtained at the host university.

If the stay abroad is used for scientific research, credits will be replaced  by a written confirmation issued by your supervisor and documenting your progress.

Deadline for recognition:

- As a general rule: 2 months after the student's return from his/her stay abroad

Student Grant Recipients must submit the credits actually transferred to the Study Grant Authority. Please observe the relevant internal deadlines and guidelines!
